The Birds, The Bees and Other Secrets
I know I said I'd shut up for a bit, but I've just heard that my new book (out in August) is to be published in paperback next year. I know this has happened to quite a few of you/us, but not yet to me (Dead Ernest never made it) so I'm quite excited. Please be excited with me!

Awesome! Am celebrating with a long cool drink of squash - congrats!
Fantastic news, Frances - well done. Hardbacks are lovely, but there's something about a mass market paperback. Looking forward to seeing either edition!

Congrats, Frances. That's fantastic news.

Well done, Frances! I'm delighted for you, and now need only get round to reading some of your work!
Congratulations. Excellent news. I loved Dead Ernest and look forward to reading the Birds and the Bees (in either format!)
Congratulations! I'm sure it'll do brilliantly.
Too right we're excited with you! Paperbacks are good news--they reach more readers and it's easier to 'encourage' friends and family (and total strangers) to buy your book if it costs that bit less.
That's great--it's a wonderful book and deserves a wider audience!
This is great news, Frances, but now I'm puzzled because I just bought Dead Ernest in paperback from Amazon in the States where I live.
Congratulations. You must be feeling rather chuffed about this.
Thanks so much to you all for the celebratory noises - they really mean a lot. (And Mags, I think what you bought in the States must have been a trade paperback).
Weird, isn't it, how before you're published you think simply being published will mean you've made it. Then along comes paperback and you feel like you've REALLY made it! I'm totally delighted for you, Frances, hope it does stormingly well!
Frances:
I'm a little confused since I just bought the paperback version of your book from Amazon in the US.
But, apart from that, congratulations on all this. You must be psyched.
Mags
