For those based in the UK, by the way, the Society of Authors has an allocation of free tickets (all gone this year unfortunately) - one more reason for joining the SoA!

My former agent went there, and to Frankfurt, every year, so I guess they're supposed to be important. Or perhaps just a great tax write-off on overseas travel.

She's also the person who told me my book was "too American" to be published overseas...
