hagsharlotsheroines review!

A fantastic review of Cover the Mirrors has been posted on the hagsharlotsheroines blog, courtesy of the lovely Laura! If you haven't checked hags out yet it's definitely worth a look, and while you're there you can check out my review of Libba Bray's historical YA fantasy The Sweet Far Thing as well.

Thanks again to Laura, and watch this space for news of my next contribution to hags.

Great review, Faye -- and well deserved. Laura Wilkinson has captured the essence of the novel beautifully.

Marvelous review, and generally echoes my own opinions about CTM. Except that I didn't really have any nits to pick.

I guess I'll have to reread it in a fussier frame of mind.

Sorry about that.

Thanks all.

David - the way I see it, if any outlet (paper, magazine, site, whatever) that regularly reviews books is always 100% positive in their evaluations, they'll probably be discredited by the trade as a cuddly club to make writers feel better. I hate to say it, but I think such criticisms tend to be aimed all the more towards projects related to women's writing (a group-hugging 'sisterhood' thing perhaps?), so hags might be vulnerable to that as well.

And hey, nobody's perfect after all!
