Well done, Suroopa
Suroopa modestly concealed her recent achievements in a comment on another post. Just to say that I think it's very impressive to have suceeded as a novelist, short story writer and academic author. Poetry next? Congratulations on the new short story collection and good luck with the next novel.

Yes, many congratulations Suroopa and thank you, Len, for highlighting her achievements.
Thanks Len and Allis! Not poetry I am afraid, though one of my short stories titled "Writerly Life" is about a poet and the story has many verses! But the nicest news I got on Friday. My book "Bhopal Gas Tragedy, a book for young people", brought out by Tulika, a progressive, radical press in India has sold translation rights for two languages, Malayalam (Kerala) and Hindi (our national language). It means wide readership. India has a rich and varied regional book market that has amazing circulation. In comparison, writers writing in English have a small, very urban reach. So this piece of news made my day!
Pretty damn cool, Suroopa! That will be a huge readership.
Fantastic news Suroppa - may you enjoy continued success.
Huge congratulations, Suroopa. This is great news!
