Launch details of The Lady's Slipper

If anyone would like to join me  - I know it is unlikely, but I thought I'd invite you all - the launch of TLS will be on Monday 7th June from 4 - 6.30pm at Townend, a historic house in Troutbeck near Windermere (see left). If anyone would like to come just reply to this post and I'll send you all the details.

Anyone else got any events in the offing, signings etc? I thought here might be a good place to put them if we want to spread the word.

This is when the pond becomes an ocean. I wish I could be there -- what a terrific place for a book release. Just to make myself feel better about missing it, I've written the time and place on my calendar. I'll be with you in spirit.

How about a trip to the U.S. for the American release?

Golly, I would love to come but life gets in the way. Hoping it goes absolutely brilliantly.

Dee, hope it goes brilliantly. I was terrified about my launch but it was one of the best things about the whole publication experience. Make the most of it--you only publish a first novel once!

It sounds beautiful, Dee! Wish I could be there but I'm stuck at home watching over an exam-sitting son!

Best of luck.

Mine is about a week later (for JUBILEE).

It sounds/looks idyllic, Dee. The very best of luck with your launch. And please post some pics!

Thanks everybody. I thought if we share our events, those with friends or relations nearby might be encouraged to send them along.

No Ann, no plans to come over at the moment. I still haven't got to grips with the idea TLS will actually be published over there! The US launch is at the same time as the UK one, so I am concentrating on here for now. And to be honest, the idea of setting something up in a strange city in another country is a little daunting.I have visions of sitting at a table in New York bookstore surrounded by unsold books whilst people walk by me and wonder who I am!

Hi Dee

I'd love to come up for this - it's Sarah's home county so we know the area quite well - but as with everything at the moment, family life intervenes. I hope it goes really well - and savour every moment of it. Your first launch is, in many respects, like a 21st birthday party or a wedding. You might have more than one, but you'll never forget your first...
