Bibbibbiddee

Just thought I'd post up the latest snippets of MNW-related news rather than type up bits of the WIP (writing it is great, but typing it up...blargh...)

SO if you've already been published by MNW then you're definitely not eligible to enter the Waterstones new short story competition. But it's a great competition, and the judges include our Will, and some of us MNWers. It all looks very cool. Good luck to the judges - that's always a bit of a thankless task, methinks.

And also huge congrats to Terri Wiltshire, who's on the longlist for the Wales Book of the Year competition with Carry Me Home. Go Terri! We all love a bit of good news.

Terri, fantastic news! You must be spinning. It's a great novel (I still think about Luke), and it's wonderful to see it honored. Congrats!

I'm fortunate to be one of the judges for the Waterstone competition, but it's bound to turn into a daunting task. In my mind's eye, I see all those writers pounding the keyboards, sweating each sentence, hoping this will be their big break. We've all been there.

Congratulations, Terri! Great news. And congrats, too, to our MNW judges! (I see there's no-one from Ryanair)

Okay guys...I'm going to give this blog business another go. If you see me sinking, though, come in and get me!
First of all thank you so much for your kind wishes. I'm absolutely thrilled (and more than a little surprised). It was a wonderful way to re-enter the "world as I remember it".
Following a very difficult double bereavement, soon after "Carry Me Home" was published, I've been struggling to get back on board, but with encouragement from Ann I'm getting there! I'm writing again and more importantly, I'm loving it again.
Thank you for your support. I will do my best to visit you more often. Tx
