Monday 15th. February
For anyone who hasn't been following the discussion on when to have a MNWers gathering, this seems to be the date we've agreed on. So far we have (I think) Alis, Eliza, Len, Matt, Brian (possibly) Aliya, Tim and me, but it would be great if more could come, including (and especially) any new MNWers who may have been hovering round the blog but haven't yet introduced themselves. We haven't yet agreed on a time and place, but maybe it would be an idea to do that soon rather than start this all over again in the new year? So - Lunch? Dinner? Tea? What does everyone think? And where would be a good venue? I guess it will have to be London, but London is a big place... (exit blackboard monitor)

When a colleague retired this year we had afternoon tea at Brown's Hotel which was very civilised (perhaps not so good for us then!).
A bit pricy but as a writers' networking event tax-deductible...
I have to admit that lunch would be easiest for me as far as being back in time for the children is concerned. But I can make arrangements if that's harder for others' commitments.
Eliza
I can do both, so if someone can't make the lunch, I can meet them in the evening. David Budd is also coming along, so there should be a few of us whatever time we decide to meet up.
As for location, well, I really don't have a preference. I know London, but I don't know London...
I'm hoping to persuade hubby to let me roll from lunch to afternoon to evening, if you can put up with me for that long. And hoping to persuade Neil Ayres to come along too.
Doubleplus good if Neil can come too!
I can make any of the above so I'll fit in with whatever everybody else is happy with.
I have been waiting to see when all you seasoned MNWers were meeting, and now a date is fixed I would love to join you if it is not too presumptuous. I live way up north so would probably have to return by train before an evening thing - but could do lunch or afternoon tea without too much bother.
Not sure when I'm about that day (or indeed if, though it's likely). I'm happy to try to fit into whatever suits everyone else.
It looks like lunch, then. I do hope that's ok with everyone. Shall we leave it now until nearer the time, and then we can sort out a venue and a time(and come on, Brian. Priorities!).
Cool, thanks Frances. It's now in the diary.
In mine too. Thanks, Frances.
