Len! That's fantastic.

I love this business of knowing someone not famous, then almost famous, then slightly famous, then famous, then supermarket famous.

Len, you have moved from 'almost famous' to 'slightly famous'! Hurrah! Let's hope it sells some books. Congrats.

Super cool, Len.

Do the neighbors realize that the guy pushing the lawnmover is a famous author?

Wow, Len! I feel honoured to know you! But how about a smiley photo, now that you have so much to smile about?

Very cool, Len, and no one is more deserving.

Fab, fab, fab, fab, fab!!!!
I know David will hate the exclamation marks if he reads this but I think the occasion demands them.

Len, I'm really chuffed for you - many congratulations. And a perfect, self-deprecating interview, too.

However, I have to agree with Frances - your promo-photo does you no justice at all!

Hello Len,
my book is not even out yet (not till May/June next year) but what great press to be a "literary talent of the future". I'm in awe! I haven't read your books yet, but what struck me most from your interview (apart from the lawnmowing and being able to give up the day job)was the great names your characters have. I recently gave a group of creative writing students a list of weird names and asked them to come up with characters for the names. It is surprising what just a name can tell you about both the genre of the book and the character.
Hope you get loads of interest from this.

Thank you. You are all very kind and (as ever) most generous in your comments.

Though I rather like my current photo, I agree that I should probably get a new one showing me older and happier.

Deborah - it will be interesting to know whether, when you read the book, you decide Elsie and Ethelred are in fact like their names!

I look forward to seeing others in the spotlight in due course.

This is great, Len. Anything to sell the books, and this should do the job well.
Do you have an author site on Amazon US? I've started building mine which will link to the blog as well as showcasing the books etc (it's something called "Author Central").

It's a shame Amazon UK don't do a similar thing, but like everything with Amazon UK they catch on - albeit a year or two later...

Matt - thanks for the tip about Author Central. I'll take a look ...
