Congrats to Ann...

...who has been longlisted for the Orange Prize for women's fiction--although you have to read to the very end to find her!

Well done, Ann - and fingers crossed for further progression.

Ann:

What super, duper news. I am so pleased for you ... and for the MNW list as well. And wouldn't we all love to see the looks on the faces of the nay-sayers now, especially McCrummy!

Tim, thank you for posting this. And thank you all for your cheers. This comes as a complete surprise. I turned on the computer this morning and there was the news from Will. In a flash, my day did a cartwheel.

This is a victory for MNW. I'm proud of all us as the achievements add up. Here's to the good people at Macmillan New Writing who believe in our books. Here's to David and Daniel at Goldsboro who promote our books. And here's to us: the writers.
