Publishing News

In addition to Frances' great news regarding her new book, I thought fellow MNWers and friends might like to know that the very positive recent Publishing News piece on the imprint (and Gallows Lane, if I'm being completely honest) is now available on-line here.

That's a great piece, Brian. The Devlin profile is steadily rising: could he become our first MNW TV adaptation?

Thanks for posting that, Brian.

Thanks Tim and Eliza

I was undecided about posting the link on as it's blantant promotion for the Devlin series. In the end though, after all the negative press about MNW, I thought it was great that a good chunk of the piece vindicates the imprint so strongly on its 2nd birthday. Please excuse the rest of the article - MNW's raison d'etre is all of those authors and books that have been part of it and have made it such a varied and unusual imprint - not just one author.
Cheers
Brian

No need to apologise for promoting Devlin here - I'm sure all the MNW gang is delighted that it's starting to get the attention it deserves.

I'm keen to read any articles praising any of us, so more such links are to be encouraged!

You said it, Tim. Any time one of us receives praise and/or attention it's good for the imprint.

Great article, Brian. I actually own two copies of "Borderlands"--David Headley pressed one on me while I was still drumming my fingers and waiting for Amazon UK--so I've been able to keep one in circulation as a loaner. Judging from the reaction so far, I think you have a very good chance indeed of racking up some serious numbers here in the US come this Fall.

And just for the record, let me state that I don't think anyone should be the least bit shy about about using these pages for self-promotion. That's one of the purposes, innit? Not to mention that any time one of us succeeds, it increases the prestige of the imprint...

Go Brian! Go us!

I think Devlin would be a natural for the telly, actually.

Hi David and Aliya

Thanks for your comments and kind sentiments. Borderlnds is out on the 2nd Sept. in the US, David, with almost the same cover as the orginal MNW edition. Please do tell all your friends...
Cheers
