Ryan David Jahn shortlisted

A big heads-up to anyone who doesn't follow his blog: Ryan David Jahn's Acts of Violence has been nominated for the Crime Writers Association New Blood Dagger Award (the award for best first novel).

Well done, RDJ--and well-deserved, too!

Thanks, David. After posting on Twitter, Facebook and my blog, I hesitated to do post here as well. Anyway, I'm thrilled, of course, and am proud to be in such good company.

Yes, well done and congratulations, Ryan. MNW keeps showing up on lists, and it'd be great to see you take this one. My bet's on you.

Great news, Ryan. Now if we can convert those nominations into awards…

By the way, Acts of Violence is selling like hot-cakes in WHSmith here in Sheffield in their buy one get one for £1 deal, and Waterstones 3 for 2 promotion.  AoV's word of mouth is certainly spreading around this corner of Yorkshire!

Thanks again, all.

Matt, that's great to hear.

It was just announced that I am among the finalists, so I guess I'll be heading to London come October.
