Thanks Len

(And while I'm thinking about this... What are the terms of publication for the story? Is there a contract of non-reprinting for up to 12 months or is it longer? I only ask as it might be ideal for the 5th anniversary anthology next April...)

See, you should never trust the old and apparently foolish, it's what they want you to think... Thanks, Len, I enjoyed that!

Nice piece, Len!

While the circulation of the Sunday Express appears inexorably to be falling, by the most conservative estimate that circulation is still at least 600,000.

That's what I call a readership.

Thanks, Alis and Tim, for these kind remarks. I'm really pleased you enjoyed it. Matt - I'll have to check exactly what the deal was, but I am as sure as I can be that the story would be available for the anthology.

Len, both Rob and I read your story and enjoyed it. Your style reminds me of O'Henry's -- the great American short story writer whose stories end with unexpected twists.

Well done, and thanks for getting that link. Congrats on the release of "Illusion" on Friday.

Thanks, Frances. Thanks, Ann. I am very flattered by the comparison with O Henry - I've always loved his Gift of the Magi, ever since I read it years ago - a classic.
