Len Rides Again

I'm addicted to spreading the good news! Reading about the successes of authors I admire always cheers me up. So here it is: the news that Len has made the shortlist for the Crimefest Last Laugh Award with Ten Little Herrings. Many congratulations, Len.

Congratulations, too, Len. I am delighted for you. I am not sure if I can get to Crime Fest this year as Prof P is at a conference and one daughter has a GCSE exam on the Friday, but I will see if i can get to part of it. I wonder if you will be there again this year.

Len, 2010 is your year: the Edgar Awards in April and Crime Fest in May. Looks like it's time to hire someone to cut your lawn since you'll be dashing around the world collecting prizes for both herrings.

Congratulations!

Gosh, thanks everyone. Again, you are all way ahead of me - I heard only late this afternoon. (I've been out being trained to sit on employment tribunal panels.)

Maxine - yes, I'll be in Bristol - I do hope you can make it in spite of conferences and exams. (And good luck to your daughter!)

Ann - fortunately it's not a large lawn!

Sam - The first draft of Herring on the Nile is more or less complete. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was behaving itself, though ....

Hi Len, just to de-confuse things, Sam is me - got tangled up with my son's hotmail as he was signed in on my computer!!

In future I shall always think of you as "Sam" ....

(And, of course, congrats!)
